After trying a couple of headlight restoration kits and home remedy techniques, I decided to replace the headlights in two of my vehicles. In my experience, the restoration kits would make my headlights look much better on the day of application. It would last for 2-3 washes and return to their appearance before the application. 

I replaced the headlights in my 2005 Volvo XC90 and my 2001 Honda Civic. Due to the design of the Volvo, the swap takes less than 15 minutes. For my Honda, there was more labor involved because the front bumper had to be removed in order to remove the headlights. 

As you can see, replacing the entire headlight is worth the effort and time invested. Both vehicles look like brand new vehicles. I purchased headlights for both vehicles using Ebay. When I called Volvo, they quoted $1600 for a pair of headlights. I purchased a pair on eBay for $275. For the Honda, a pair of headlights cost approximately $150. I purchased from 1A Automotive. They have great customer service and have a few YouTube videos on how to service your vehicle.
